Convening in a Box: non-Federal employee registrants will receive a box with hard copies of select agenda items, a USB drive that contains soft copies of all meeting materials, and other items related to mindfulness.

Materials Packet: all registrants will receive 2-pocket folder with hardcopies of select agenda items, detailed agenda, and a USB drive that contains soft copies of all meeting materials.

Hard copy: documents printed on paper.

Soft copy: documents that are in electronic formats such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, or Adobe PDF.

Inspirational Moments

Description: During the convening, the grantees are asked to provide an inspirational moment for 15 minutes. We all have experiences that motivate us to continue the work we do in language and culture. The inspirational moment can be a story, a song, a realization, a dance, etc. that is shared out with the cohort to share our own inspiration to inspire others. Along with their inspirational moment, NLCC Recipients will provide one accomplishment of which they are most proud.

Strategic Plan Share Out

Description: Time will be allotted during the convening to share out on a strategic plan developed by each recipient. This time will allow for recipients to discuss strategic plan guidelines, benchmarks, and other established protocols, procedures, etc. in regard to strategic plan development. In addition, this time will allow for peer-to-peer Q&A, discussion. Please come prepared to share and discuss your strategic plan.

Directions: Facilitated group discussion on strategic plan development. Questions to consider: How did you determine benchmarks, and objectives for your strategic plan? Who was part of the strategic plan development process? Does your strategic plan identify sustainability issues?

Day 2 – January 27, 2021

Survey Development – Experiential Learning

Description: In groups of 3-5, taking a look at a potential event and developing a survey to collect data about the event. This is a role-playing activity. Each group will decide what type of event and the types of data need to be collected.
